Week 3 is in the books. We are now getting into the meat of the college football season. With only 12(ish) teams making my rankings your wins and losses mean more and movement up and down can be bigger than what you might see in the top 25 polls. Since these are my rankings I am the one that gets to set the standards and those standards can, and do, change from week to week.

That being said, here’s my newest Top 12+.

1 Texas

2 Georgia

3 Miami

4 Notre Dame

5 Alabama

6 Indiana

7 Ole Miss

8 Texas Tech

9 BYU

10 USC

11 JMU

12 Tennessee

+ LSU

+ Penn State

+ Michigan

I have decided that with where the season sits this early I’m not ranking any team with a loss. Sorry Ohio State and LSU. I know you both lost to ranked teams. They both could be back in because I don’t see anyone other than Miami or Notre Dame getting through the season undefeated.

This ranking is a living, breathing, growing beast. There’s a lot of football left to play. And some of these teams are going to start facing off with some stiffer competition and each other. As my rankings sit right now I think that top 12 would give us quite the entertaining playoff. But as this season has already shown nothing is carved in stone.
