The Atlanta Braves lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 1-4 on the road at Busch Stadium. St. Louis starter Matthew Liberatore set the tone for the afternoon, delivering six scoreless innings while allowing only four hits and striking out six batters.

The Cardinals' offense broke through against Braves starter Reynaldo Lopez, who worked five innings and surrendered four runs on five hits.
