Game Recap

Boston Red Sox defeated Chicago White Sox 2-1 in a closely contested matchup at Rate Field. The game remained tight throughout, as the Red Sox relied on a balanced offensive effort and a lockdown performance from their bullpen to secure the win.

The defining moment of the game came off the bat of Caleb Durbin, who finished the day 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. His long ball provided the necessary offensive spark to push Boston past Chicago. While the White Sox managed to put runners on base, they struggled to capitalize, leaving the door open for the Red Sox staff to shut them down late in the game.

Patrick Sandoval earned the start for Boston, pitching 4.1 innings while allowing one run on five hits and striking out five. The Red Sox bullpen was lights out the rest of the way, as Tyron Guerrero, Garrett Whitlock, Justin Slaten, and Aroldis Chapman combined to toss 4.2 shutout innings to close out the victory.
