Game Recap

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in a closely contested matchup at Dodger Stadium. The game was defined by efficient pitching and key offensive contributions, with the Red Sox narrowly holding off a late push by the home team to secure the victory.

Payton Tolle earned the decision on the mound for Boston, delivering a solid performance over 6.0 innings. Tolle allowed 2 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 batters and walking 2. Despite allowing a home run, Tolle navigated through the Dodgers lineup effectively to keep his team in the game.

Following Tolle, the Boston bullpen was near-perfect to close out the win. Justin Slaten, Tyron Guerrero, and Aroldis Chapman combined for 3.0 scoreless innings of relief. Chapman was particularly effective, striking out 1 batter and allowing no hits to record the final outs and seal the 3-2 win for the Red Sox.
