Game Recap

Chicago White Sox defeated Tampa Bay Rays 6-1 at Tropicana Field in a decisive matchup. The White Sox offense set the tone early with a barrage of home runs that overwhelmed the Tampa Bay pitching staff. The victory was anchored by starter Erick Fedde, who delivered five solid innings, allowing only one run on four hits while striking out six batters.

The White Sox offense proved too much for Nick Martinez, who surrendered four home runs over his six innings of work. Chicago capitalized on this power surge, scoring six runs to secure the win. The Rays were unable to generate significant momentum, managing only one run on the afternoon, which came via a home run from Junior Caminero.

Following Fedde's departure, the bullpen locked down the remaining frames. Tyler Schweitzer provided three innings of scoreless relief, allowing only one hit and two walks while striking out two. Trevor Richards closed out the game with a scoreless ninth, striking out one to seal the 6-1 victory.
