Game Recap

Chicago White Sox defeated Texas Rangers 10-3 in an offensive showcase held at Globe Life Field. The White Sox offense set the tone early and capitalized on opportunities throughout the contest to pull away from the Rangers.

While Texas found some power through solo home runs from Joc Pederson and Jake Burger, the White Sox pitching staff managed the damage effectively. Erick Fedde started the game, pitching 4.0 innings and allowing two earned runs while striking out six. A committee of relievers including Chris Murphy, Jordan Hicks, Seranthony Dominguez, Sean Newcomb, and Trevor Richards held the Rangers to just one additional run over the final five frames.

Key Performances

Miguel Vargas paced the Chicago offense, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Andrew Benintendi provided a significant boost as well, driving in three runs during his 1-for-3 performance. Sam Antonacci contributed to the effort by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI, while Luisangel Acuna added a sharp 1-for-1 pinch appearance that yielded two RBIs.

Texas starter Jacob deGrom struggled to contain the White Sox, allowing five earned runs over 4.2 innings of work. The Rangers bullpen faced further challenges late in the game, specifically as Jose Corniell surrendered five earned runs in just one inning of work, which helped the White Sox widen their margin of victory.

For Texas, Joc Pederson and Jake Burger each tallied one hit, with both players accounting for their team's only home runs of the evening. Evan Carter added a 1-for-4 performance with an RBI in the losing effort.
