Game Recap

The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Cincinnati Reds 6-1 in a dominant performance at Great American Ball Park. The Guardians jumped out to an early lead and maintained control throughout the game, supported by an impressive pitching effort from Joey Cantillo and a deep bullpen that held the Reds to only one run.

The offensive attack was highlighted by Kyle Manzardo, who connected for a home run and contributed two RBIs. Gabriel Arias also provided a solid effort at the plate, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk. The team's ability to drive in runs proved to be the difference maker, as both Steven Kwan and Travis Bazzana added an RBI each to extend the lead.

On the mound, Joey Cantillo was masterful through 4.0 innings of work. He allowed only four hits, walked one batter, and struck out eight while maintaining a 3.88 ERA. Following his exit, a committee of Guardians relievers, including Colin Holderman, Erik Sabrowski, Matt Festa, Hunter Gaddis, and Cade Smith, effectively silenced the Reds' lineup, despite a late run allowed during Franco Aleman's appearance.
