As the game progressed, the Guardians added another run in the seventh courtesy of a bases-loaded walk that allowed Daniel Schneemann to score, extending their lead to 4-1. The Brewers attempted a late rally, scoring again in the eighth on an RBI from Cooper Pratt, closing the gap to 4-2. Despite a spirited assault, the Guardians managed to hold onto their lead with effective pitching changes, particularly from Parker Messick, who delivered a solid six innings while striking out nine Brewers hitters.
