Game Recap

Colorado Rockies lost to Milwaukee Brewers 2-11 in a decisive contest at American Family Field. The Milwaukee Brewers utilized a balanced offensive attack and stellar pitching to secure the victory, holding the Rockies to just two runs on five hits throughout the game.

Milwaukee established momentum early behind Jacob Misiorowski, who was outstanding on the mound. Misiorowski pitched 5.0 innings, allowing only one run on a lone hit while striking out 12 batters to anchor the victory. The Brewers offense provided plenty of run support, including a notable home run from Andrew Vaughn, who finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Rockies struggled to contain the Milwaukee lineup as the game progressed. Starting pitcher Kyle Freeland took the loss, surrendering five earned runs on six hits over 5.1 innings. Relief pitching also faced challenges, with Jimmy Herget and Victor Vodnik combining to allow five additional runs in the late innings.

Key Performances

For the Milwaukee Brewers, Jackson Chourio stood out at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Luis Lara and Cooper Pratt also contributed significantly to the offensive surge, each recording two hits and two RBIs. Cole Carrigg went 1-for-4 with a home run, while Willi Castro also contributed a solo shot in his 1-for-2 performance. Hunter Goodman, Mickey Moniak, and TJ Rumfield each added a hit for the Rockies, but the team was unable to generate consistent scoring opportunities against the Milwaukee staff.

On the mound for the Brewers, Misiorowski's 12 strikeouts highlighted a strong staff performance. Following his departure, Chad Patrick, Aaron Ashby, Grant Anderson, Craig Yoho, and Bryse Wilson combined to limit the Rockies to just one additional run. Conversely, Brett Sullivan provided a brief appearance on the mound for Colorado, pitching a scoreless inning before the conclusion of the game.
