Game Recap

The Miami Marlins lost to the Houston Astros 2-5 at Daikin Park on Tuesday. The contest was defined by Houston's ability to capitalize on the long ball, as they launched three home runs off Miami starter Sandy Alcantara to secure the win.

Sandy Alcantara struggled to contain the Houston lineup, lasting 7.0 innings while allowing five earned runs on nine hits, including three home runs. Despite the pressure, the Marlins' bullpen provided a bright spot as Calvin Faucher tossed a scoreless eighth inning, striking out two and allowing no hits.

Houston starter Peter Lambert kept the Marlins at bay, pitching 6.0 innings and allowing two earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts. The relief corps of Enyel De Los Santos, Steven Okert, and Bryan Abreu combined for three innings of scoreless baseball to lock down the victory.
