Game Recap

The Miami Marlins lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-8 in a back-and-forth contest at American Family Field. The Brewers utilized a balanced offensive attack and strong work from their bullpen to secure the win, despite a late-inning push from the Marlins that saw them chip away at the deficit.

The Brewers established early momentum, putting runs on the board against Miami starter Max Meyer, who worked three innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out five. The Marlins struggled to find consistency against Milwaukee starter Shane Drohan, who pitched 6.0 innings, allowing three earned runs while striking out nine batters.

A pivotal moment occurred when the Marlins bullpen faced difficulty in the later innings. Calvin Faucher surrendered four earned runs in 0.2 innings of work, a stretch that provided the Brewers with the cushion they needed to maintain their lead. Ryan Gusto provided 2.1 innings of relief for Miami, giving up one earned run and striking out two.

The Marlins attempted a late comeback in the final frame against Craig Yoho, who allowed three earned runs and a home run. However, Trevor Megill entered the game to close the door, tossing a scoreless inning with one strikeout to seal the 8-6 victory for Milwaukee.
