Game Recap

Miami Marlins defeated New York Mets 5-2 at Citi Field in a contest that showcased strong pitching and opportunistic hitting. The Marlins jumped out to an early lead, putting pressure on the Mets' pitching staff from the opening innings. The victory was a collective effort, as the Marlins' roster contributed across the board to overcome the home team.

Janson Junk anchored the Marlins on the mound, delivering five innings of work where he allowed just one run—though zero earned—on three hits while striking out four batters. The bullpen continued the strong performance, with Calvin Faucher, Tyler Zuber, and Pete Fairbanks combining to close out the game, effectively limiting the Mets' offensive opportunities throughout the final innings.
