Game Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers lost to Los Angeles Angels 0-3 in a matchup defined by strong pitching at Angel Stadium. The Angels secured the victory by capitalizing on a key home run, while the Brewers' offense struggled to convert their opportunities into runs throughout the nine innings.

The scoring opened up thanks to the power of Wade Meckler, who launched a home run that accounted for two of the Angels' three runs. Zach Neto also contributed to the Angels' offense, recording a hit and an RBI in his four at-bats. Despite these efforts, the Angels were held to limited hits, but their bullpen successfully navigated the Brewers' lineup to preserve the shutout.

Key Performances

Brewers starter Jacob Misiorowski provided a valiant effort, striking out 10 batters and allowing only two earned runs over 7.0 innings of work. Despite the loss, his performance kept the game within reach for much of the evening. On the other side, Walbert Urena set the tone for the Angels, pitching 6.0 scoreless innings while striking out seven and allowing just three hits.

Offensively for Milwaukee, Jackson Chourio stood out by going 2-for-3 with a walk, though the team was ultimately unable to push him across the plate. Teammate Jake Bauers also managed a hit and a walk, but the Brewers' lineup collectively failed to string together enough base hits to challenge the Angels' defensive effort. Ryan Zeferjahn provided a late boost for Los Angeles, striking out four batters in 1.2 innings of relief work to help close out the win.

The Brewers' bullpen saw DL Hall pitch 1.0 inning, where he allowed one earned run and struck out one. Meanwhile, the Angels' relief corps of Luke Murphy, Sam Bachman, and Ryan Zeferjahn combined to silence the Brewers' hitters for the final three frames, ensuring the 3-0 shutout win remained intact as the final out was recorded.
