Game Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 10-2 on a commanding night at Busch Stadium. The Brewers' offensive effort was relentless, accumulating runs throughout the contest to pull away from the Cardinals, who were limited to just two runs on a solo home run by Nelson Velazquez.

Milwaukee's pitching was anchored by Robert Gasser, who delivered a stellar performance over 7.2 innings. Gasser allowed only four hits and two earned runs while striking out four, effectively silencing the Cardinals' bats for the majority of the evening. Craig Yoho took over in relief to toss 1.1 scoreless innings, closing out the game to secure the victory.

The offensive surge for Milwaukee was highlighted by a significant breakout in the later innings against St. Louis reliever Jared Shuster, who gave up seven earned runs in just 1.1 innings of work. The Brewers capitalized on multiple walks and key base hits, turning a manageable lead into a lopsided win.
