Game Recap

New York Mets defeated Atlanta Braves 7-6 at Truist Park in a closely contested battle that saw multiple lead changes. The Mets offense managed to outlast the Braves, utilizing a balanced attack and timely hitting to secure the victory. Despite a strong effort from the Braves to stay within striking distance, the Mets' bullpen managed to close out the game under pressure.

The scoring began with both teams finding ways to manufacture runs early. The pitching staffs faced significant challenges throughout the day, as evidenced by the high-scoring outcome. The Mets relied on Freddy Peralta to start the game, who went 4.2 innings, allowing three runs on six hits with six strikeouts. The game remained intense until the final frame, when the Mets pulled ahead to finalize the 7-6 scoreline.

Juan Soto led the Mets offensively, going 1-for-2 with a home run and 3 RBIs while drawing three walks. Minter and Guillo Zuniga also contributed scoreless appearances to keep the game tight. Late in the game, Luke Weaver navigated a difficult final inning to preserve the narrow lead, finishing the day with an ERA of 1.89.
