Game Recap

Texas Rangers lost to Atlanta Braves 1-15 on a night where the home team’s offense proved unstoppable at Truist Park. The Braves surged early and never looked back, putting constant pressure on the Texas pitching staff. The Rangers' starter, Cal Quantrill, struggled over 4.0 innings, allowing 11 hits and 6 runs while surrendering two home runs.

Atlanta's starting pitcher Chris Sale was dominant, stifling the Texas lineup over 7.0 innings. He allowed only 2 hits and 0 runs while striking out 6 batters, effectively preventing the Rangers from gaining any offensive momentum throughout his time on the mound. Victor Mederos closed out the final 2.0 innings for the Braves, allowing 1 run on 3 hits.

The Rangers' pitching troubles continued after Quantrill exited. Emiliano Teodo allowed 2 runs in 1.2 innings, and Gavin Collyer surrendered 4 runs in his 1.0 inning of work. Kyle Higashioka, serving in a pitching capacity, also gave up 3 runs in 1.0 inning, including one home run, as the game remained firmly in the Braves' control.
